The Circle of Doors Tarot is a fiery invocation of deep feminine wisdom and power.

Created over the span of a decade, this is an ongoing collaboration between Anne Staveley and Jill Sutherland. This series is an exploration of what connects us all in the golden tapestry of life, it is an invitation to think about our shared humanity through introspection and conscious conversation. 

Each ethereal image taps into the hidden language of ancient symbolism and the timeless wisdom of feminine sacred knowledge. A blending of portraiture with the abstract, the black and white images make up a complex ecosystem of layers and textures into ghostly, illustrative allegories.

These images were created in-camera without the aid of computer software. This photographic series is the basis for the interactive, immersive art installation and tarot deck.
